There may be some reading this blog who are new to the convention process and are getting cross-eyed trying to figure out what this battle over the rules is all about. For any of you in that boat, we would like to suggest that you read an article called "Texas Republican Party Officials: An Overview" and a followup article, "GOP Conventions: An Overview."
Maybe that will help clarify things.

I just found a great article on yesterday's happenings with details I haven't seen anywhere else. Can anyone confirm what happened? Any comments on whether it was legitimate?

Thank you. PLEASE keep posting updates. I and many others are reading. I wish I could be at the convention to see it firsthand, but I'm depending on your updates today to know at least a tiny fraction of what's going on. Can't believe they are still railroading and making up their own rules. Disgusting behavior for our party "leadership".
